Who doesn’t love Christmas ornaments?! They brighten up any tree, make a great gift to loved ones, and the best part about Katie Makes ornaments, is that they’re made fully from re-purposed and upcycled materials! Each one hand made with love, for a completely unique item to hang on your tree, or display in your home for the festive season.

I have been drawing and painting ever since I was a little one. I originally began using a paper coated waxed medium more colloquially known as ‘crayons’. I then progressed to a loose watercolour style which I would apply to countertops, table tops, the linoleum floor and occasionally the more conventional surface of paper. As my dexterity improved over time, I began to work in pencils, acrylics, and even more watercolour! You can see HERE what I am capable of today!

Katie Makes… aprons

This past year especially we’ve all become expert banana bread bakers, so let’s keep up the kitchen creativity whilst protecting our favourite leggings from flour dust.

I’ve been working away at my upcycling and have been having so much fun making children’s aprons out of re-purposed materials. Each one is so unique and fun, AND comes with its very own wooden spoon, with a painted handle to match the apron!

I’ve also started doing adult aprons too! I have a few in the works right now and I’m so excited to share them soon! If you would like a beautiful bespoke apron made, I would be happy to do that for you! Just get in touch with me HERE and I’d be delighted to discuss style, size and fabric choices!
